    Anzac Coro overnight adventure ride.

Thought it would be fun for the people who can't make it down to the Capital Coast Adventure ride to have a play on that weekend as well.
Planning on having a fun weekend of riding and relaxing.

Friday: I'm going to ride up to Thames on the Friday arvo and stay at the Kauaeranga DOC site not far from Thames, having fun on the roads on the way.

Saturday: If you want you can meet me at the Kopu pub car park 10am Saturday morning, for a cruisy ride up the coast to Tapu, then over the hill to Corroglen, then onto the 309, lunch and fuel up at Corromandel town, last fuel at Colville, then the ride up to Fletcher Bay where we camp for the night.

Sunday: Around a 9am start heading for Stoney Bay, then back track down to Waikawau Bay and out to Corromandel via Kennedy Bay. Then back over the 309, lunch at Corroglen.
We'll cut back over from Corroglen to Tapu instead.

Any suggestions of different routes or timing, let me know, may be able to alter the plan.

Edit: Forgot to mention that we will be in tents, and you will need to bring some dinner and breakfast.

Have done that ride, complete with camping and without the tracks a couple of times. Excellent way to spend a weekend. Can't make it but have fun.

Sounds like a great alternative for those not on the CCA.
Any new adv riders that can source a tent should consider this ride, great gravel roads, great scenery, and interesting points of interest along the way, (square Kauri tree etc)
    Enjoy.

I don't think kerosine tins had been invented when this tree was a seedling.

Also, when heading north, the last fuel is at Colville if any one has worries, it's only 28km from there to fletcher bay.

I'll be keen to do a ride like this at a later stage, so I'll be interested to see where you go.

I'm in the process of convincing a friend to hire a DR250 from Coromoto so she can give the adventure thing a go.

I'd be keen to do it again if you and Clint want company.

Kanny is showing signs of interest in this ride.
Shuffling shift hours etc will be part of her details for the weekend.
Plus the oppressive tri boy will be wobbling his way around the CCA, so a "break out" will be easy.
