Ben is riding the 450 this year outdoors. Remains to be seen how recovered he is from his wrist injury. I don't think he has had much time on the bike with all his injurys.
Bt wrist is pretty good, he has been riding for about 3 weeks

the 450 class is in for a big shake up this season me reckons with all the new guys steping up,only wish it was enough to bring ricky out of retirement cause this is gonna be the best season in the 450s for a long long time!!
Nah, be boring if Ricky was riding.

would be mint having a ride there (not competing obviously but they're tracks look pretty mack!
If Bubba can stay injury free for the whole season it's his but that's quite a hard ask haha. By far my favourite rider (even when ricky was riding) just because he's a bloody nutcase. Always doing something that makes you go "Whoa holy shit did you see that" which is what he goes for anyway.
Be cool to see BT out there again. Does SKY TV get these events?

We might see it delayed on ESPN with a bit of luck.
http://live.motocross.com/ has a live webcast i think, or maybe just audio.
Get to a computer early monday morning and it should be on.
Go BT and Coop's !!!
Can't wait to see how BT go's against bubba, Glen Helen should suit ben and the Honda too, it gets pretty cut up and those hills are huge!!!
Think cooper will suprise a few on his factory ride too. Go the Kiwi's!!
Bit dissapointed that Bens website has not been updated since the beginning of April! Be nice to have heard his thoughts on the upcoming season, how his injurys were and how the training has been going.
A Report Today:
Stewart was a full second faster than the next-quickest rider, Honda Red Bull’s Andrew Short. Stewart’s best time around the long and fast track was two minutes and 42.278 seconds. Short, who looked aggressive on his Honda, turned in a 2:43.294. Third fastest was Alessi with a 2:44.135, followed by Jeff Alessi, Tim Ferry, Steve Boniface, Cody Cooper, Byrne, Millsaps and Tedesco, who were all in the second session with slightly better (drier) track conditions.
Ben Townley was 31st quickest, but he’s not riding at 100 percent. Townley recently crashed while practicing at home and is riding with a sore shoulder and wrist.

Press release:
Townley endures painful Hangtown Motocross Classic.
Factory Red Bull Honda’s Ben Townley has experienced another setback in his 2008 AMA Motocross campaign. The 23-year-old New Zealander took a big tumble in one of the Saturday practice sessions at round two of the series near Sacramento, California.
Townley was diagnosed with a chipped right ankle bone but was cleared to ride two grueling 30 minute + 2 lap motos on Sunday after he put in a gutsy performance to qualify 12th.
Soaring temperatures and rough track conditions certainly put riders to the test as Moto 1 got underway with Townley grabbing a reasonable start and positioning himself in the top ten. ‘BT’ rode through the pain to claim 8th spot by the end of the moto.
A slightly better start in moto 2 saw the number 101 Red Bull Honda have to deal with a charging Tim Ferry and Mike Alessi in the opening stages. Townley slotted into his race rhythm, trying not to take any extra risks, as he chased fellow Honda team-mate Davi Millsaps and privateer Steve Boniface to the flag.
“This is not how I want to be racing but I have to deal with it and keep the ball rolling,” explained Townley. “The last few weeks have been really testing both physically and mentally but I’ve been able to overcome the setbacks and I’ll be looking forward to Texas and getting my body healed.”
Townley heads back to his home base in Tallahassee Florida to prepare for the 3rd round of the AMA Nationals at Freestone County Raceway in Wortham, Texas on the 7-8 June.
