ps Just lit the fire, roll on winter so I can get the bike out and go to the beach
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Example of Chch's weather yesterday and today.

Yesterday morning was beautiful. I know this as I didn't get home from town until 5.00am, sat up drinking and talking with a couple girls from work. They split a couple of hours later so I stayed up, saw the g/f off to work, and watched some TV. It was sunny, not a cloud in the sky, an awesome day. About 10:30 I rang work and got someone to pick me up, dark clouds rolling in. It turned to crap, a bit of light rain strong winds, dreadfully cold. Later in the afternoon it hailed for, oh about 2 minutes then partially cleared. Rain was off and on for most the night, with a spectacular light show followed by intense thunder.

Woke up this morning to consistant hard rain, choose to ride to work for some fun. Rained hard most of the morning with strong winds, fucken cold. Started to clear in the afternoon, sun showed itself even, roads were dry but temp still cold, thought I might go for a ride tonight. Rode home to mostly clear skys, have some dinner with the g/f and head out. Well, finish dinner to find heavy clouds have rolled back in, wind is howling and its pissing down. Park the bike up, and resign myself to no ride tonight. But whats this, the sun is out, the roads are drying, and the wind is all but gone. Thinking about gearing up to try and get out again, when I hear rain on the roof again. Look outside, sure enough its pissing down, howling like a howly thing and completely clouded over. Colder than any summer should ever be, this is a description of basically the last couple of weeks. Enough to do your friggin' head in.

I blame that big floater down Antartica way!

Who dropped that big floater iceberg that's heading our way. That's the problem. Unbelievable isn't it. Its fine until late Friday afternoon as you leave work excited about an evening ride and the beaut weekend ahead. As you dust off the bike you hear the start of the pitter patter of rain, then...(insert you local crap weather description) . But come late Sunday the Sun comes out, just 8 minutes too late to get in a ride.
I've given up on summer, looking forward to next winter's rides

I guess I've picked the right time to have my bike in bits, but the weather is still a pain, especially since my "summer" job is painting houses... :P
