    Yes another bloody oil thread

I have been using the recommended oil by the Triumph manufacturer. That being Mobil-4. I have noticed the oil changes between 6k and 14k that between changes every 6k I have been putting in 250ml to keep it topped up. (I normally do my own oil changes) One day I called into Whitelock Suzuki in Wanganui and spotted a knew oil called Q8.

I purchased the 10/40 Q8 race oil. I get a bit of discount so it costs me $46 for a 4 litre. I have been using it since 14k and have travelled 24.000 kilometers and my bike hasn't used a drop of oil between changes. Also the motor feels stronger as a result of using Q8 oil.

Just thought I would mention this relatively new product to the KB family. I endorse the Q8 fully synthetic oil as being great stuff. Has anyone else used it in their bike?

I thought Q8 was text-speak for its country of origin.

Great tip. I will put some in my 1050, when it arrives.

Q8 is known in the UK as a Petrol Station seller and also brands a number of motor products. It must be the same as something else that they have branded?

    Q8 is short for Kuwait.

Tis true - first guy who tried to sell me Q8 from the boot of his car was of a certain ethnic origin....Talk about cutting out the middle man - get your brother in law to fill a container and send it to your street address.Which makes me wonder who is in charge of their blending.

ran Q8 Fully Synthetic for about 3 changes (before that was Mobil fully synthetic oil) and found no noticeable difference between those two brands.

Recently done an oil change with MOTUL fully synthetic and actually found my changes are incredibly smoother so i will be sticking with this brand over Q8.

Id try Motul out for size then if you think Q8 made a difference

    Kuwait

Q8 is the brand name and it is blended in Kuwait. Just enter Q8 on your browser. And check out the distributers.

The retail of this brand of oil is around the $16.40 per litre. Or $58 per 4L pack

Yes I was using Mobil 4 fully synthetic before I switched to this brand of oil.
    It's good shit

To purchase Motul fully synthetic oil with the same specs as Q8 is a lot more expensive. And no better IMHO

Whitelock Suzuki in Wanganui got rid of ELF motorcycle oils, in favour of the Q8 brand of oils, the range they stock goes from scooters up to the Super bike range of fully synthetic oils.

Below is a picture of the oil I use.
