Yes ... it doesn't look like it drives the rear wheel, so as soon as the front starts to lift, the middle will follow and you'll get wheelspin. Unless there's something very odd about the suspension that I can't see either. Any other pics of it?

is this the whisper of something that could alter the future of modifying our rides?
If these catch on here, and we get bogans doing shoddy or stupid things like this
how long till somebody gets killed by one
Thus allowing the LTSA to enforce a ruling that all mods to bikes be certified as they do with cars.
That means, change the shocks = cert
    change the rims = cert
Change the handle bars = cert
    Change engine = cert
    etc etc etc

The end of yet another personal choice domain?

    Could it happen?

anybody else see where I am coming from?

Won't end it at all, you will still be able to do all of those things. If your modifications aren't done to a certifiable level, then that's a problem already. LVVC is pretty cheap, costs about the same as a rear tyre, so money isn't an issue either.

Check out some of the Hayabusa websites and see why some of the Yanks put extended swingarms on.A lot of Busa owners seem to be in the armed forces and where they live they reckon they can ride for an hour before they get to a bend in the road.So they go for speed over handling and just trying to look cool.Maybe good for doing drags but i think it looks crap and ruins the look of a good Busa. And for some cool looking pics of bikes then do checkout the Busa websites. Busa,s are best.

Because FkNAmerican lives in America and wishes to share some bike related information with other likeminded souls, so what if its from the other side of the world. If you don't like it don't click on the link, its pretty simple.

Back in march 06 Two Wheels magazine did an article on a guy in Miami who earns his living street racing a highly modified 78 Z1R with said extended swingarm and solid struts instead of shocks, interesting read, when i say street racing i mean lining it up against all-comers in a 1/4 mile.Theres plenty of extended swingers in Aus and to me fugly but hey its just another form of motorcycling and if thats what does it for them then good on them.

The nature of the initial post presupposes that someone was actually curious about the swingarms. FKNseppo is answering a question or responding to interest about the swingarms.

It just fucks me off when I choose to distance myself from the American brainwashing machine to start seeing it infiltrate kiwi forums.
