Well, as I see it, you've answered some of the question.

It depends on whether you place emphasis on looks over performance and rideability.

Ultimately, a litre bike is better. It's not for the power... It's the torque. A litre bike makes more torque at 4000 than any 600 period! It's the torque that makes them fun and easier to ride every day and on the street...

Which litre bike you choose, we all like different things... Best you ride them and choose for yourself.

    PS, last years graphs...

The RC-8 is an interesting choice but its also a first gen bike for KTM......I think I'll let others iron out any flaws before I hop on the bandwagon. Plus, KTM has never really been on my radar. I would consider the super duke as a second bike.....but the RC-8 really is the first bike KTM has made that I would even consider as my one and only motorcycle......

In short, KTM still has alot to prove before I front the kind of cash they're askin' for that bike. Im willing to bet the RC-8 will be alot better after its mid-life update.....and Im patient enough for that.

As far as the Aprilia RSV-R goes......its nice but it just doesnt do it for me. The RSV-4.....THAT does tick all the right boxes and in a big way!!

The more I think about it the more I think GSXR-1000 or R-1 (with power commander and custom map). I can get a great deal on both.

I need to get on an R-1 and see how it goes........that will be the deciding factor.
