    Petrol price - who cares?

The local Towel-wronger rag had their street talk thing a few days ago asking people whether they shopped around for lower fuel prices. 5/6 people interviewed said "No".
So, for a few days I have been travelling to and from Hamilhole, via Cambridge. For those who do not know, there is a Mobil, a Shell and a BP station all in close proximity. BP is selling petrol at 3 cents per litre more than the other two. The BP forecourt is constantly full; the other two are constantly near empty. Many are even driving past the Mobil and Shell and crossing the road to get in and out of the BP station.
Seems all the talk about fuel prices really is just rhetoric drummed up by the popular press. Or maybe Cambridge people think the more expensive gas is better???
ACC - It's where the Enron accountants all went.

Isn't the topic of petrol prices getting blown tad out of proportion? Maybe a topic on how to conserve the use of petrol e.g. technologies, etc

the Mobil service is rubbish (BP's not much better) the BP has a better shop though, and lets me fill without pre-paying, although I nearly always fill at the Challenge on Duke St. Haven't been to the Shell since it re-opened, but the access in and out is marginal.

I fail to see how that matters
if its a bike then you buy what you like
like wise with a car , but with a car you will think twice if it chews gas
with a bike , i dont actually think ive ever heard of anyone worrying about economy .
most of the economy is your hand , so its like up to you really .

Exactly. People may tend to look twice when purchasing a car and I think (opinion) that if you are on a budget you'll do the same regardless of the fact that you may be riding a bike.
