Thread: Trouble starting scooter, help appreciated.

    Just go it back, all good now.

    He said a nut fell off the crankshaft, lucky I stopped early enough otherwise it would have jammed up everything and repair would be very expensive.

    So I only had to pay $50, was quite happy about it.

    Nice! Glad you got that fixed up. Kind of weird that (1) the nut would fall off [not that I know anything about them] and (2) the first shop didn't know/do anything about it.

    That nut causes a shit load of problems. I strongly suggest you ask the shop to supply you with a spare nut, to keep with you in case of future problems.
