    Winter SUXX!!

I just got home from one of the wesstest rides ever!! I had on about 5 layers and everything got soaked through! I had to drive from west auckland to Pamure(sp?) then from Panmure to Birkenhead and then back out west again. Visibility is shit all and the roads are basically rivers at this point. Dont even get me started about getting all the wet gear on and off again GRRR! Anyone else out on the roads of Auckland tonight? I just want it to be summer again!!

Nope I'm safe inside , although this morning I rode from town to Karaka in the wet, was rather nasty but not as bad as it is now! And my gear prevented me from getting the slightest bit wet!

Perhaps you should have gone eastest instead of westest...?

Riding in the wet? No problem. The huge mammoth puddle(?) creeping towards my bike is the only concern!

LOL yea my bad on the spelling!! It's not so bad when you are actually riding its when you have to stop and get it all on and off again, I am currently saving for some quality riding gear as my MAC in a SAC just isnt cutting it anymore

I just got back from work. Took the cage out for first time in 2 months and it was worth it. It was basically floating from greenlane to spaghetti junction. made me wonder what it would be like on a bike. Keen to try it but the chicka has already warmed the bed...

Not kidding. On the way back, all those digital signs on SH1 (southbound) had "Standing water, drive with caution). When I got off the motorway, saw the biggest goddamn puddle, spread across both lanes.

Yeah I drove over the bridge - there was heaps of water everywhere. Doing 70 on the motorway barely able to see and an idiot in a small truck comes storming past at >100km/h (in the 80 zone) and reduces visibility to zero. Now there was a poster boy for "speed kills".

Going through milford and an entire corner was completely underwater, parked cars were up to their doorsills, I just about drowned mine with water in the ignition...

My gear may be waterproof, but fuck trying to keep it rubber side down in those conditions!

Yip I was out in the pissing rain tonight dodging a few streams here and there..Got to to test my Ixion waterproof coveralls properly. They worked great.Given up on my Dririder(wetrider) gear for keeping me wet after being soaked once to many times.Cordura eventually leaks(I tried washing and treating it),just get some waterproof coveralls.Having decent waterproof gloves and boots helps too ( I need new boots).

Nevermind the wet - it's the cold that's my concern!

I guess you guys on the tropical island won't feel it yet...

In Chch it's supposed to hit -1 degrees tonight Water - ok in liquid form, pretty nasty in solid form.)

And this morning riding to work wasn't exactly a heart-warming experience. -I'll go get a hot cup of HTFU I think.
