Shit, all you guys are such optimists.

Bones and flesh heal, metal doesn't. I've been lucky to come out of most of my crashes worse than the bike.

Can see a few ppl thinkin that exact thought, as there have been a number of FUps !
But not someone who rides and enjoys a few windies ! Good roads are few and far between down this end of the island !
I cant really see this bloke being a wanna be rossi well perhaps he is but would say its more a case of wrong line and not expecting a tank to come around the corner (left hand hook no doubt)

So are we promoting more track days ?
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Shame on you.....thats a fine piece of road on a bike, they should stop the cages on it not the bikes but as with all awesome twisties they need a whole lot of respect
I ride it every chance i get when i venture down welly way. It can however be very dodgy, normaly from cars cutting corners, from my experience anyway, but the i dont ride like a Rossi wannbe either

No public road is a race track, and they should be treated as such

Thanks Mike for stopping, you and the three maori falls and off-hour medic were great, much appreciated .
and thank you KB for your support and open opinions they mean alot.

I've just been thinking bout it , it was a bad time when i decided to do another run of the hills since with the paikok accident down below cars were avoiding the traffic jam by cutting thur the hills i should of thought bout it. Bit careless of me dam cager cant take all the blame.

Me and my mate have been going through the bike today after gettting it back from the wreckers/recovery people and the engines still good, starts and took it for a ride up the street. So far we can see confirm that the i need a new tank (bastard took all the absorbtion in the crash bless you),new windscreen, radiator (leaking ) , patching up of the fairings ( it doesnt look nice) still need to check if the frame is still straight.

I've learnt a bit after having time to reflect on the inncident and i honestly think i'm very lucky, like Mike said i could of ended up over and down the side or a under the next car.

To the guy who asked where i crash, it happened in the first blind left corner sweeping down after all the uphill bits past the lookout. ( Direction- heading towards Wellington )
