Posts like this should be recommended reading. Reading this is EXTREMELY sobering. All of us out there who have done stupid things on the road (myself included) or faced potentially disastrous situations like this, yet somehow managed to avoid any harm coming to them should sit there and realise just how lucky they are. For next time, we may not be so lucky.

I know what it is like to be suffering terribly in a hospital, not being allowed to leave and being consistently uncomfortable and in pain, being unable to sleep, and it was pure hell on earth. However fortunately for me what I went through was nothing compared to what FKNAmerican is facing. The attitude he is facing it with is very admirable indeed. Thanks for sharing with us man and wishing you a speedy recovery.
What you have in your heart will be revealed through what you have in your life.

At varsity, a mate of mine walked out in front of a car and bust his jaw.

They wired it up and he carried a pair of wire cutters around in his pocket just in case.

He still cant stand yoghurt :)

    Heal quick, Bro

Crikey mate ,that was one feral read there ... you got good reserves of will or cussedness or something since you are able to type such informative and humourous posts!

Thanks for reminding us to take a deep breath, I think I stopped breathing when I was reading the contents of this thread ... and damn, it sure tasted good!

I guess an important question to ask is ... hows the bike?

Do you guys get charged by the po-po-5-0 for events like this? "Careless use of a vehicle" etc. I guess its the least of your concerns for now!

Sounds like you are winning small battles and getting on with getting on, hopefully you can find a better edition of "Making Straw meals more appetising" and remember that Monty Python song .. Always look on the bright side of life! (which you seem to be doing in abundance)

Heheheh.....nah Im sure I'll be pissed off about it again tommorrow........LOL. Jesus. Its pretty epic though.
Hope your taking photos, will be good to look back on them in a few years..

Bloody hell! Sorry to hear of your current situation in life, but you could be worse off I guess.
As asked before, are helmets compulsory in NC or "your choice"?

    Heal up well dude!

Mate, in the face of what your dealing with, you have got a great sense of humour, and that helps.
    Good luck with the poo.

I remember after both my bubs it was a few days till captain poo came along...

Advice: clench gently and let it go slow..luckily your not on solids (lol).

(Sorry to take you all there...)

    Seriously...goodluck bud
