    Jeans and Boots

I've been seeing alot of riders walking around in their bike boots and jeans this week.

The question is, do you wear your jeans tucked into your boots, or over them so it appears as though you are just wearing shoes?

Personally, I think blue jeans tucked into black boots looks ridiculous, so its jeans over for me.

How say the rest of you?

Doesn't matter - both are going to peel away like a wet cleanex when you come off.

In that case I shall withdraw my comment as I have no relevant experience to share

Still, road rash only looks cool until a certain point... That point is usually exceeded when making contact with the road at a speed somewhere between 20 and 40 km/h.

Why anyone would ride in jeans alone is still beyond me...no offence, but damn!

try running on gravel, and then drop to your knees...it'll give an idea of what will happen when you ass off in light gear.

And to partially answer the question, I wear my corduras with armour over my boots.

I wear mine on the outside. They would be all bunched up and uncomfortable inside my boots. But I've noticed on my mates boots that they are to wide at the top of jeans to fit over though.
They other reason is so people don't say to me "Why are you wearing those funny boots? Do you want to be a skin head?" (black draggins)
While you sit there liking things just cos' everyone else does, I'll be standing up here keeping it real.

Riding topless is a good way to get that inner-city attention that some people crave.

Yes, I know - but the thread topic didn't say anything about kevlar reinforced jeans. Still, I hope you wear that knee armor you can get for that kind of apparel - road rash, while nasty, could be the least of your worries.

I wrapped my frist bike and me around a pole only wearing jeans. Now I *only* have arthritis and complete numbness in my right knee but the guy who wrapped himself around the same pole 2 weeks later wearing full leathers is paralysed from the waste down. I was sooo lucky!

Anyway off topic - SORRY! I ride in jeans sometimes but usually I wear jeans under my coduras and then whip my coduras off so I am more comfortable in just my jeans. I always wear my boots under my jeans. They're dririders, which are kind of like the GN250 of boots - you dont want anyone to know that your wearing them! And as everyone knows, I think fashion is just everything! *insert sarcastis smiley here*

Just as well you were that lucky...we'd miss you around here!

I have to admit that the full cordura thing has had me thinking a bit of late, as it is too hot in Summer and it is a pain to have another layer underneath. So I am currently looking at getting some leather pants with armour in them. Prices are getting better all the time, and I just refuse to tempt fate.

Besides, leathers are way sexier than jeans anyday

my only bin so far, i came off from about 60k in jeans, singlet, helmet, sunglasses and my cowboy boots. my legs are not too bad, could be worse. left leg is numb from the knee down, and right knee requires a brace in the cold. but, considering my top half had almost nothing to protect it, i feel pretty confident trusting my brain to protect my body.
i really only wear rjays in the rain, cold or on long trips. around town, or a few hours either way on the open road, im happy in jeans. shorts, however, is another discussion.

    ...and cordura...

But only if they are pretty tight!

Hot in summer and cool in winter though...
