A quick review on State Insurance...

Well as some will know i went for a small side a few weeks ago. Anyway the bike isn't to bad but my gear was shot. So i called up the insurance on Tuesday. Got all my stuff together wed, gave them the final bit of info today and the cash will be in tonight or tomorrow so while the call center is populated by air heads they have gotten the job done

    So good on ya State.

And that is with you having an exemption from the license conditions I assume.

When my RF900 got stolen after 3 weeks of ownership, STATE paid out in less that 10 days, and I got back exactly what I paid for it too. I never had any hassles at all.

State paid out within 10 days of my claim on my gear, only took 10% off for depreciation, even encouraged me to claim on my gloves. In that case, simply a fuss free enjoyable transaction.

They have definitely sorted their act out recently. I guess their shit rep must have been costing them customers.

    I hate frigging insurance companies.

One insurance company tried getting out of paying when my car got rear ended by a moron, I couldn't have been less at fault. It took them months to pay out, and for my car to be repaired. Guess which one that is... S....

So, about 2 years ago, my house got broken into, I lost all my snap on tools, heaps of other gear, some brand new car audio gear that was sitting there waiting for a decent car to go into. TV, stereo etc etc... The insurance company put an investigator on me, they thought it odd that someone who works wearing a tie would have thousands of dollars in tools... They ended up paying about 30 cents in the dollar after a six month wait. The treatment was astounding considering I had paid for years, and never had a claim...

I've changed insurance cover from that company (all 7 policies), and instead of relying on the goodness of human nature, I have an expensive alarm that's monitored...

The most utterly useless pack of wankers I have ever had the missfortune to deal with.
They lie, to your face, and expect thanks for it.
They will use every dirty underhanded trick in the book to stall, misslead, confuse and not pay out.
Two years to get about 70% of what we where insured for, lucky we wernt at fault!
Even at twice the price I'd go somewhere else.

I'm glad, and stuned, that they payed out...
But I'd strongly recomend looking elsewhere.
Protector have looked after me in the past, AMI have been no drama so far but NZI and state are the same.
    IAG own both.
We all have our little obsessions...

When I had a quick trip over the roof of a drunk in a cage, state paid out in full
Got a bike twice the cc and twice the price but had premiums reduced by $100 per year... go figure. best price by far but it is an older bike and I have had no incidents for over 5 yrs. Newer more pricey bikes may have a better deal elsewhere. Only went with state as they were the only ones who would insure me after I had a head on. been with them for 10yrs now

I would have thought that would be 'glove' in your case?

They eventually paid out on hXc's bike...not their fault it took so long, it was the other party.
Donald, how long are we 'storing' the 400 for you...storage bills are mounting up, dude!
