I'm (fairly) sure that intrepid UK bike adventurer Nick Saunders(?) did an around the world on an R1 a couple of years ago, or at least he said that it was possible - dunno read it somewhere.

What an adventure.
A mate of mine takes his Kwaka ZX10 touring all the time (sometimes with his wife on the back) and I've ridden 1000km plus days with him.
On the way down to Phiilip Island last year for the MotoGP, we met up around 5am and didn't arrive at the motel until around 10.30pm that evening.
Pretty sure that's the guy who did a track day in the states and gave them all the learn....fully loaded!
He rocks and so does his bike.
Wonder how many KM's he had on the clock after doing itcertainly a testament to todays engineering ,especially the part where the exhaust is full of water lol .He must of had one soar back tho
