How the hell do you cope without a garage!

Me and koba live in a 1 bedroom flat. Its not small but its not huge. I dont have a garage but I have a shed where the buckets live along with fuel cans and race stands. However the house has become a "kind-of garage". In one corner of the lounge I have a set of tyres and a rear tyre and rim in the other corner is a couple of boxes filled with painting equipment, oil, gear fluid, CRC and other cans and bottles. One of my TV cabit shelves is filled with a battery, spark plugs, sprockets and other assorted 'smaller' bike parts and one of the cupboards is deciated to random tools, chains and other parts. There is also currently a fly wheel puller thingymabob next to the stereo.
In the bedroom there is another tyre and on the shelve is where the helmets, tank bags and A100 side covers and other cosmetics. Dont get me started in the bloody wardrobe as between us we have 4 sets of leathers and codura's and a race suit!
It makes cleaning a friggin nightmare. It took me 3 bloody hours to clean a 1 bedroom flat! Its ridiculous, I think we need a new flat with a garage, especially as at the moment we have 9 bikes between us!!! No wonder I am an alcoholic. I want my house back!

    Rant over.

Sounds like it is time to find a new place where you and all your bikes and their bits and bobs can fit happily.

Otherwise just top up that drink o yours and carry on as you are....

Ha, until just recent there was a bike living in the lounge as well as everything else! It was crowded!

Have you got room on the lawn where you could put an old lock up container for bikes and bits..if not, what about one of those aluminium sheds that you can get from Mitre 10 or The Warehouse.
You can get heaps of stuff in those sheds and they are reasonably weatherproof.

True that! We have a double garage and while there are only 6 bikes in there...guess where the car spends all it's time...

Unfortunately not really. I live in a block of 6 flats and have already taken over one of the sheds and permanently got a broken down A100 parked up as well. We are looking for a new flat but there isnt much around in our price range witha garage

I know the feeling. Our spare bedroom is pretty much dedicated to bike gear. The bikes live outside under waterproof covers, but it won't be long until they go away to a friends shed for the winter
People are coming over tonight and I cant decide whether to just close the spare room or padlock it as well.
Come and ride the Southern Roads with us.

In answer to the topic of the thread... I couldn't cope without the double garage. We only keep the two bikes in the garage, plus all sorts of assorted stuff. If you've seen photos of Hiroshima right after the bomb went off, that's about how our garage looks at the moment. I know of one winter job coming up
