SRX250 electrical issues

Hey All,

I took my SRX in today to get roadworthied, and they picked up a couple of things.

1. Side Stand Switch missing.
- To my knowledge the SRX didnt have a side stand switch, would be good if anyone can help out here.

2. Parker Light Missing
- Again, not even sure if there is a spot for this to go, not aware of a bulb in the head light for it.

3. Front Brake switch intermittent.
- What happens here is when you pull the break lever on the lights come on, but if you squeeze the brake hard on they go off again.

There were also some other issues, but off topic for this thread and also I have the knowledge to fix them.

Any help would be good.

Mine didn't have a side stand switch. But it might have been removed. I alwasy remove them. In NZ it's not a legal requirement, dunno about where you are

Parking light, ditto. Varies from market to market.

The front brake switch is a little micro switch in the front brake lever, It is crap and probably crapped out. You cna remove and clean and replace, will work if it is not too crapped. I did mine twice the third time it was too corroded out and I had to repalce it.

My bro's SRX has side stand switch on it and also the wee bulb in the headlight - it is acutally green in colour on his bike!

Cant help re legal requirements tho.
