Did you get the link wrong? - all that shows is a CBX.

Aye - The Z1300 I rated - The CBX never spoke to me.
Too much or too many everythings without adequate compensations.
    A Z1 was quicker.

fair call, spawned an impressive lineage too but speed's not everything of course

but there's just something cool about a 6 cylinder bike

edit: that exhaust system alone has serious Fonz factor

    One word..............Sexual
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

The CBX thou is an interesting bike. Mine is pure sex, but it's not stock, but instead tastefully done.

Performance machine brakes, CB1000 forks, rekitted, prolink rear rekitted, one off billet aluminium wheels, handmade kerker pipes, one off swingarm, candy apple paint, done in factory colours (like the one in the ad).

It sounds like nothing else, it runs like nothing else, the in line six gives the most glorious spread of torque, and it howls like a F1 car.

You can't compare anything else to it, because there is nothing else like it. Mine will be buried with me. Don't ask if I'm kidding.

I love my Gixer, but if the house were on fire, this would be the possession I'd grab. The dog can sort herself out... The CBX is perfectly correct in terms of proportions and engineering, it's a good old fashioned bike.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

Used to have a guy here who had one back in the 80's,sounded brilliant(to a 16yr old),took it to the local car club drags, laid rubber big time and go,stopping was another thing lol.He also managed to take the odd dozen beers in a crate on the tank from the pub.

nice to hear your thoughts mate

thats the thing that interests me, the type of power that comes from an inline six....i've driven 4, 5 and 6 cylinders cars, in straight and V configurations and a 6 is the nicest type of power easily (although a 5 isn't bad)....i've never had the chance to try a 6 cyl bike but i'd love to one day, unfortunately there just aren't many around

I own a 5 and a six cylinder car and while i like the uneven beat of the 5 the smooth tourque of the six is very addictive.
I also owned a CBX in the early 80's with a 6 into 1 and the music from that was the best I've ever heard.

Both cars have a turbo bolted to them which makes the drive a little more interesting.
and that's post 240.I think I'll celebrate with another drink.
