You do seem to get a bit of a raw deal here.There are several models on sale that were discontinued ages ago in pom land.

you can get the xr650L lecky start, but less power more weight.

Cheap and robust is good, with a decent fuel tank.Lightweight because I'm a realist and I will be pulling it out a cows arse before long.semi knoblies I think.

Hey Marty babe, I know of an almost brand new DR 650 that is in Taranaki. Friend of mine bought it just before Christmas and then got transferred to Melbourne in Feb. It's been to Hamilton twice, to Whangamomona once, and around the mountain once apparently. (The speedo is only reading 123ks because they just changed it from miles to K's).

PM me if you are interested and I'll send you the phone number. His missus has told him that when they come back in three years he can buy another one, but that it would really be more sensible to sell it than keep it for that many years without riding it. I offered to look after it for him, but they said nah.
