Pulled the bike out, warmed her up, Got suited up, Gave her a twist of the throttle, and with a clang, a bang, and an amplified rumble, This came spilling out like it was laying an egg.
Guess I shouldn't have ignored that rattle she was making.

Holy qwakamoli!!!...bugger
So its way louder now?![]()
Oh yeah, she's loud, Sounded beautiful.
Just a tad too loud for riding though.
Its a flash harry 2-into-1 with about an 8 inch open-end on her, She was loud as hell before the baffle blew out, Riding her as she is now would do a number of things, Mainly make me look like a wanker on a bike that was stupidly loud, and slow.
It would also attract the attention of any cop within 5km, and I have no intention of talking to the cops, It always end badly.
And of course, Wanganui is full of shit-bags, Not averse to ramming a person off their bike, Usually they don't even want to steal it, Just wreck it and hurt the rider.
Anyhow, I'll call into Speed and Spares in Pukera Bay on my way to Wellington tomorrow, Buy me a new baffle.
I beg to differ dude. I rode my 1400 Intruder open and put the baffles back in because my exhaust side ear was ringing after a 20 min ride. I was riding without a helmet (living in Hawaii at that time) and had drag pipes - but nevertheless - too loud.
Had an FXD with opened short shots - almost too loud.
Never got pulled over because of pipes![]()
I had to use tools to get mine out ya lucky sod.
Mine lets go every now and then. Mind you, it only has the end cap on it and when it blows out it sounds shit and is guttless.
