My good deed for the day

me and mrs D*H were out kawakawa,kaiaua way today and on our journs,encountered a bull standing on the road(it was a big sucker too)lucky for us we managed to avoid hitting it,,,there were alot off bikers out that way so thought id better get it off the road,so turned back to find the thing had crossed to the other side off the road eating the roadside grass,the worst bit was it was on a blind corner,and if you were coming the other way it would have been a hell off A nasty surprise for the next said bikerquickly got it off the road and back into its paddocks,,,the bastard ran straight at the fence,taking half the fence with it,better the fence than me, and just as i do,the could have been, said biker comes screaming around the corner,with his buddies in towthey waved and smiled as they screamed by,,,oblivious to the fact,,,that they could have been,,,well,,,just another statistici wondered if fellow bikers would do the same or just carry on???apart from that had a good fang around the coastline,,,heres a pic off mrs duke and our dukes taken today

I aborted my good deed involving wandering stock yesterday.I was walking around the lake with my kids and grandaughter,when we saw a (large) nanny goat jump the fence onto the path.It was obvious that it often jumped the fence,although I go around the lake nearly every day and have never seen it over the fence.When she started eating the young trees I said to one of my daughters ''Let's chase her back over the fence.''

We were opposite on the boardwalk,so walked around full of confidence and boldly shooing her back from whence she came - she trotted up to me,reared up on her hind legs and lunged! I put up my arm to take the blow,and she kept coming and butting...so we turned tail!

A jogger and a girl on a bike came along next,and we told them beware of the goat....they laughed.And so did we when the goat attacked them too,and they turned back and went over the boardwalk.

I've had dealings with stroppy goats before,but never one this aggressive - I was happy to leave her guarding her territory....bugger other innocent passers by.
