Its bloody cheap though, 3 grand for a new bike.
Perfect for the person who whats to try out the sport, and have a play.
The engine will be real smooth, as their is now power to get you out of shape.

Having fixed some of the chinese Junk I believe you are better off buying an old Jap bike, at least you will be able to get spare parts, and it may be that $5 part that the importer thought not to get that could turn your 3 grand cheap bike into an unride-able shead ornament.
If you still want to buy a Chinese Bike make sure you can get the bits to fix it, and be prepared to spend a decent amount of time going over the bike, setting the bike up properly, as often these bikes are brought in by people who are not Motor Bike people, and they may not know all the ins and outs of setting up a new bike, and if they go out of busness their waranties will not be valid.

I normally only look at the Chinese bikes on Trademe when I feel like a laugh, but this one caught my attention too. It certainly looks the part. Check out suspension spec though. 250mm travel front & 150mm rear. Sounds diabolical to me. These Chinese bikes have certainly affected proper bike dealers. Blue Wing Honda bought a Chinese mini bike for some comparison testing. It was a joke. Probably made from left over steel from melted down peasants woks during the 'great leap forward'. One dealer they spoke to, had bought a little CRF for his kid as his own product was so poorly made!

Something to be aware of is that the people who make the parts for these things have no MC background and no clue what everything does. I'm an artist and I came across some Chinese stretcher frames (for supporting stretched canvas). The little slots for wedges to adjust for slack in canvas were missing. Presumably they had no idea what the slots were for so they just left them out. 'Nice' and cheap eh?

Personally I wonder what the long term effects of buying Chinese goods will end up being for western civilisation, but it's getting hard to find ANYTHING that isn't made in China now. The amount of money flowing into that country must be astronomical. When we dont make anything any more, where will our income come from to buy these 'goods'? I feel sorry for companies that make proper stuff but simply can't compete on price.
