Well I dont understand that at all either. Must be apples and oranges. My vtwin runs great between 5 and 8k rpm. Mostly thats all I need.

Well, on the other end of the scale...i recently got 85kms out of a tank on my gsxr 600. Yes it was a full tank. It was also at a track day, so I doubt it could get much more thirsty than that. Best I can get out of a tank is 220kms. What good is petrol if it isn't being burnt?

Gotta give to ya the Hyosungs got really good fuel consumption as I've owned a GT250 and I get around 450 km to a tank and some people even claim 500 km.

Great for commuting but got no balls in general.

I've been down to 14-15k/L on my 250, but that was on a track.

I wouldn't be complaining about that, the best I can get is 13km/L and thats when im gentle on the throttle too. Guess its about time I got all modern and bought a bike with fuel injection.

I'm only just beginning to realise how bad the Firestorm is for fuel effeciency after reading your fellas posts - most I've ever got out of a tank is 200km on the open road and she was running on fumes by then end! Mind you, I knew that when I bought it!

Best milage I got out of the SV was about 220km to reserve.

Got about 170km-180km out of a tank comuting

Worst on road milage was was about 140km-150km (Crown Range it was worht it)

Worst ever was a track day at Taupo, about 90km (very well woth it)

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

My bike has just had new tyres and some work done, took it out this weekend to scrub the tyres in and got 136km before the fuel light came on.

The bike is running heaps smoother so I'm using more revs, but I'm gonna have to do a fuel run or two to check these figures or I'm gonna be walking for gas sometime soon. I previously used 180km to (fuel light on) as a benchmark.

My SV can get 60-70mpg pretty easily. Mind you that might have something to do with it being a 650 instead of a 1000, and I'm not a big bloke (which probably helps as well).
