From The NY Times:
"Cory Asmus of Temecula, Calif., just bought a $4,800 motorcycle for his 20-mile drive to work so he could cut his gas bill to $8 a week, from $110."
Bikes=good, cars=evil. Knew they'd work it out in the end...![]()

Redefining slow since 2006...
That would be an 08 Ninja 250 he has?
Grow older but never grow up
A modern 250 twin is definately the way to go if you want to save on fuel costs. I had a VTR250 which I used for commuting and weekend blats. With a maximum speed of around 155kph it was never going to keep up with the big boys toys but for a 26km commute through Auckland it reigned supreme. 13 Litres would get me over 300kms of mixed riding (urban/motorway and rural).
In space, no one can smell your fart.
Dont they pay by the gallon?

where opinion holds more weight than fact.
It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
After picking up my 250 Virago yesterday we filled it up and found it uses about 3.5lts to 100km.
So a week commuting to work on the bike instead of the car would cost about $20 as opposed to $50 in the car.
Doesnt take a rocket sciencist to work that one out.
*retires the car and runs off to get licence*![]()
