Bike Tranz has moved two of my bikes. Good service, no fucking around, and the guy sleeps in the truck when it's parked overnight.

Highly recommended as one service (in this fucked up third world socialist hell that used to be a great country) that actually works.

    Bless your cotton socks.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

My Duke arrived courtesy of Biketrans from Kerry at Motohaus, to Invercargill. Completely on time, well secured, polite, can't fault them.

And dang, he must have had a $200,000s worth of bikes on board even when he arrived here.

I used Biketranz once a couple of years ago to get a bike out of Wellington, I was told 3-4 days it took two weeks and numerous phone calls

Maybe they've upped their level of service since then

I've used BikeTranz on three occasions, and always had cheerful staff move my bikes at the time stated, and with no damage.

If it's just within the North Island that you need to move a bike I can thoroughly recommend Michara Motorcycle Rescue. You can find them at www.michara.co.nz

(Just looked - that site doesn't look like it will do you much good. I'll try and find a number.)

Air NZ with helmet as hand luggage lol
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

We used Biketranz to get 3 bikes from Auckland to Invergiggle last year.

Can't fault 'em. They gave us a discount coz there were 3. You shipping a spada perchance?

Im another for BikeTranz - came to pick up my old bike to take it down south and the guy was very good, easy to talk to and was careful with the bike - even wrapping the handlebars in sheets to ensure they didnt scratch other bikes if there was a slip. Bike arrived at its destination 1 week later in primo condition.

Having said that - Ive been told that Wgtn MC uses Motrcycle movers and that their very good. Both are dominant players in the Bike Transport business so you shouldnt have any trouble with either.

If cost is a factor then I can recommend captain transporter. Very good service and very good price. Sent a bike from Palmy to Whangarei for a few hundred less than the other two.
