    HOME!!!

oh man, WHAT a mission! But they dont call it a challenge for nothing!
Have had a shower, and am nice and toasty warm again now. My bike yoga must have worked, because we had a LOT more time in the saddle on this cape trip, yet i feel a whole lot better this time upon my return. And the cagers thought we were just dancing to mess with their heads

Lots of cool photo's and videos. will try to post them tomorrow, but no promises! gotta do washing, clean bike, job interview, then drive to New Plymouth tmrw, so might not find time methinks!

A big thanks to all those who helped organise, and those with the COHONES to tackle the challenge. Best time i've had in a long time! And for everyone who thought about doing it but didnt, next year H T F U !!!!
    IT'S PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!!!
Do the peanut butter jelly, peanut butter jelly, peanut butter jelly with a baseball bat!

Also special thanks to my Jo for coming along as a non-rider, putting up with my whims and doing it all with a smile! And thanks to all the riders for making it an awesome weekend! Oh- and thanks to Maha Man for calling me a hot chick!

It's got a 15 litre tank in total, I think 12 litres main and 3 litres reserve from memory...

I just calculated my fuel usage, until Wellsford (so not counting Wellsford -> home) I did about 973kms, and used about 26.85 litres of petrol, which works out to be about 36.2km/ltr. Something that I could never dream to get on my Zeal...

Yeah, it's great! But you must realise, it has a single cylinder 125cc 4-stroke engine, which means top speed is about 105-110km/h (indicated) at which point it reaches redline in top gear and feels like the engine is going to explode and the bike is going to spontaneously fall to pieces.

So it's really only any good around town, unfortunately. And on the beach, and up the stream!

Nope, no coppers on the beach, only encountered two vehicles coming the other way the whole time (about 40km of the top part of 90 Mile Beach), and it was FUN!! Basically you just have this big wide road for you to play on, I pretended to be Burt Munroe, lying down on the tank and opening up the throttle, only got up to about 80km/h though, cos traction isn't so great. On some of the drier patches I felt the back wheel suddenly lose power, but oh it was AWESOME.
