1: Another pose from the sign at the Te Paki Dunes turnoff
    2: Go Gordon Go!
3, 4: Lavaa rippin around in the stream
5: A feast fit for a Badger (and everyone else too )
6: A little roadside repair action

Well that's it for my photo's. SO annoyed i lost the video of BigDog pole dancing and falling on his arse, but i did get a good one of Gordon doing a burnout!

Thanks again to all involved, hope to ride with you all again soon!

    CC Challengers, i salute you!

So, who is in for next year?

    CC challenge 2009?
Should we go back to the cape?
    Should we go to Wellington?
    Should we go to Opotiki?
    Other?

Should we change the category to automatically include 250 crusiers or stick to the current rules?

Are there any other changes people would like to see?

I am keen in spirit, but will have to see how finances pan out. Have many biking plans in my mind, may not leave room to get a beastie especially for the journey.

I reckon the idea of letting 250cc thumpers (the likes of the GN or Volty) in isnt a bad idea. They could've gone a bit faster, but to be honest they are happier cruising at the pace we had for most of the journey than ringin the tits off them for 105km/h

I reckon the cape as a destination worked well. Got to see the rural northland, which gave a real sense of adventure (rather than never being too far from civilisation if heading through the middle of the island). Also, was very good having something like the lighthouse as a destination. If we went to wellington for example... well... we're in wellington... No offense to wellingtonians, but it's just not quite the same as a lighthouse at the tip of the country

How 'bout a repeat of the 250 boy's East Cape ride?

Another light house for those with the fetish, and while I missed it (Really can't remember why right now, think that's when I got t-boned..) it did look pretty hairy at some points.

I think that would take too long for a challenge like this... If I recall correctly the East Cape trip was just over 1400km, our average speed for the last CC Challenge was under 50km/h so if we did the East Cape it'll probably take at least 4 days!

The main riding days were 400km each.
Could be done in three but that would leave no time for bike related japery.

that is brilliant idea Josh. Some awesome roads there. We must carry some gas with us tho.

that is 1400km including the coro loop. If we exlude the coro loop and we start and finish at kaiaua, we get a distance of 1117km which is fine I think.

Oh true! That's right, we did the Coro as well eh... well excluding the Coro that should be fine then, except we'll need to stay somewhere other than Whakatane for both nights, that middle day from Whakatane to the east cape loop and back was pretty long, even on 250s! Something like 600+ kilometres I think? It was a good 9 hours of riding, anyway.

A challenge that we both know is awesome fun aye bro?
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.
