Yeah....I sat on a mates CBR600RR last night. Felt good. Made me miss the R-6. Sigh.
Cant friggen waite 'til the doc clears me for riding. Right now Im not even cleared to carry a bunch of groceries which is pathetic. Hell, my face isnt even stable enough for glasses and my eyes are still having issues so contacts are out.
Speaking of which.......riders out there might want to reconsider wearing contacts. If I had had my contacts in during the accident it woulda been bad. Oh and if you're gonna be doing a track day or riding hard ya might wanna wear a mouthguard too. Helps you keep your teeth and prolly protects a little against a broken jaw....which is fairly commom in motorcycle accidents when your neck gets torqued around. Trust me....a broken jaw SUCKS. I've broken my arm four times, gotten bunches of stitches from various sports incidents and mountian bike crashes, and popped a toe out......and this broken jaw shit is by far the most annoying injury I've had.
Its pretty amazing how the big stuff heals up quick and its the little things that hold you back. I mean, I talked to my mom today and she was telling me how when she came into the ER my nose was hanging off my face and my jaw was over to one side. That shit healed up in a matter of weeks it seems but my nose still cant support the weight of glasses and I cant strain my jaw by carrying any weight. From the look of things though Im 100%....its just under the surface that Im still fucked up.
Go figure.
Feelin' good though. Got me some Hershey's Choco milk, some tomato soup, my protein shakes..........
Went to an organic grocery store today just to LOOK at solid food and OMFG the food looked good. They had all kinds of stuff I wanted to cram down my face. The Javanese Tofu, Carolina Chicken, and Spinach and Feta Quesadillas looked particularly tasty. The Santa Fe grilled beef salad with onions and peppers..........ok I gotta stop before I go crazy.
Ugh.
