    Custom Hayabusa

    From Motorcycledaily.com:

    http://www.motorcycledaily.com/07dec...g_hayabusa.htm

Not really my cup of tea, but worth a look.

Wonder if I could get some clear wheels for the RG50

that is definatly a mint bike, i would love to cruise around on that. only problem i have with 'busas is the kanji on the side fairing. i've got nothing against japanese, its just that it would kinda make people instatly think the rider is asian. it definatly has the bling factor though with all the gold

There is something about pearl white bikes with slight colour detailing that pushes all the right buttons for me. Those clear wheels really are something different. And as said, that GSXR tail on it looks pretty sweet.

Some of the detailing is quite something.
No mirrors but a reverse camera and an LCD screen, the clear panels on the fairing and not to mention all the trick engraved and CNC bits of metal.
Just goes to show imagination is really the only limit.

Busa's have transended the role of sportbikes in popular culture, as the article mentions they're the customisers bike of choice because of this. The Kanji would probably be seen as a vital part of the brand.
And we're not dealing with full time riding enthusiasts like you and me, half of the people who would be into this kind of stuff ("including fashion, style, music and entertainment ,” )probably wouldn't recognise the bike without it.

    Carbon Busa

    This is my favourite...

I wonder what a 14 would look like with a 10R tail piece.

Yeah I like your one bettter, I'm a function over form man mainly.
Though you think they could've mounted the hydraulic preload adjuster in a less conspicuous / more steamlined? way.
Love the lobsterback Yoshi megaphone setup though.
    Mmmmmm Yoshimura and megaphones!

    Rims

How do you put a 17" tyre on an 18" rim?
Suck, Squeeze, Bang, Blow aren’t just the 4 cycles of an engine

So they're not that clear after all!

Someone's numbers are wrong, that would have to be an 18" rim I'm not aware of any 17's that wide.

Yea, I remember that one in PB, the owner dropped it coming out of a petrol station the day before the photo shoot and test ride.
Fairings were a write off, leaking coolant everywhere and just a general mess.
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.

I still prefer the original tail of a busa.
