Seems fairly straight forward to me.
Just be aware that leaving a Will is a useful tool for the people who will have to administer your estate: Having a will makes that process easier, quicker and thus cheaper. Its still a costly business. Oh yes.

How unfortunate... try throwing vinegar on them before you start, pins the piles back to where they came from and hence no bleeding... or so i'm led to believe...

Seems to be the recurring thing, truth and honesty on a daily basis towards those whom are loved. I've always hated funerals, even when they've been my best mate, makes you miss them more and even remembering the fun times really doesn't put too much of a smile on the face... As you say, they know they're loved and should the worst happen that they'll be missed... I hope that my family realise that they can just throw me in a hole, spend the money on a holiday and hopefully they'll remember me as simply a person they once loved...
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

The point I was trying to make is over this way........I'm not denigrating the usefullness of a will, simply that it only deals with material goods whereas I put more value on emotional things,

    You're sensitive..!

And there's nothing wrong with that!

A will can address more than just material goods, you can put pretty much whatever you like in one!

... but that's a WILL, not a note surely? you can't get sentimental in a will and what's the point of wasting a god-given opportunity to reduce all the nearest and dearest to abject tears and misery .........

    joking

i try to let people be in no doubt i love and appreciate them every day - but i'll still leave a note
    - just hope no-one gets to read it until i'm past 90 is all

just be clear as to whether you want it to have testamentary intent. the new Wills Act kind of loosened up some of the requirements as to what a "Will" was.....

    clarity is key!
