    Sand Country Run - photos/feedback

If you came to Sand Country Run trail ride on Sunday, do you have any photos you wouldn't mind sharing? We'd love to see them. Please post on KB or email to hmcc@kol.co.nz.

Also if you have any feedback or comments to make about the ride, we'd like to to know that too!

    Cheers

Great ride - as always when the weather is fine and ground conditions favourable. Special thanks to the landowners. Only suggestion for improvement would be to have communicated a short-cut option for the afternoon loop - perhaps at the underpass. Therefore, those not sure about committing to another 1.5 to 2 hours for whatever reason could have still ridden part of the afternoon session. Big raps to HMCC too.

    Got a few photos @ http://zaq123.net/gallery/album204

Thing i like about this ride is it's a nice easy ride and if you don't leave at the same time as the other 800+ riders you can ride the 60k's without having to stop for bottlenecks and slower riders, just a bit different then most rides, but then you don't get many pics either

Stopped a few more times for pics last year @ http://zaq123.net/gallery/album175

About the only suggestion is maybe put some lights in the forest, got a bit dark in there.

There was going to be a shortcut home in the afternoon from the fuel stop, but the fuel stop ended up in a different place so it didn't work out. It will be part of the plan for next time.
