Help please RM 125

Mate has a RM125 2003 , starts good but when the bike is put into gear it stalls, its revving at reasonable good hot revs , we have adjusted max out on the clutch screw on the handle bars, any sensible advice please.
Yes we do pull the clutch in before we put it into gear.

My old kx125 did the same when the clutch was gone. Could just hold throttle wide open then put in gear...but dont forget to hold on....tight.

you could try checking my thread about my clutch it seems to be more extreme simptons of what my clutch is doing

Does the clutch disengage at all in any gear while moving eg, say you were riding along in 3rd and you pulled in the clutch and reved the tits off the thing does it drive or slip like it should, does the same happen in all gears?????

Grooves worn into the clutch basket by the clutch plate tabs. Remove clutch basket, file fingers smooth again, problem solved.

you make it sound quite simple, but you have to make sure you file the basket evenly, if you load up one lug by leaving it high you can cause that lug to break off and do damage, it can be done but just take your time,

does it only do it when it is cold? if so he is 100 % right, mx bikes are comman for this as the clutch basket wears,

Katman did what you said, the basket was really grooved, filed it flat, and finished it off with wet & dry, nice and smooth, cleaned it all up, Put it back together, Problem fixed, Not a hint of stalling. All own labour, only cost 750ml of oil $20...Thanks took about 4hrs.
