Who are the Moto Guzzi agents in the Auckland area? Have developed a rumble and it's getting worse. I need some 'expert' advice. At present I am in Taumarunui until the rain stops.

Thanks for that info. Will be heading up to Tauranga soon. Does anyone know if there is a Guzzi agent up in Tauranga. Need to have a new rear tyre fitted. If not will have to shoot backs to Auckland.

Aw crap!
I think you need an official dealer mate. Thatsa AMPs...
There are not many official agents, AMPs, Masterton, Erics and thats it I think. Sawyers were but never saw any money in it.
Lemme know if you want me to grab a trailer eh!

Does it have to be a Guzzi Dealer that fits a rear tyre? Gotta be one of the easiest bikes to fit a rear tyre on, or have i just been lucky?Originally Posted by Paul in NZ

I shouldent think that they would be his problem, as they have already had the up grade done on them..... which is to fit some shims to the rockers as IIRC at idle there isent enough oil presure to keep them lubed.Originally Posted by Paul in NZ

nothing wrong with them, every Guzzi apart from the 1000 Daytona has push rods but Sky's bike has hydrolic tappets.... and I'm buggered if I know why they had to do that.Originally Posted by Mongoose
And as far as needing a Guzzy dealer.... poppy cock, ya cant get a easier engine to work with than a MG. I never took mine in ever... did oil/fluid /filter changes myself, even reset the tappits every season... 1 hr and its done.

The camshaft... (at one end) and the Rocker (at the other)Originally Posted by dangerous
Yes he had the shims (but not all the tappets needed it I think he said - but we were well fonged) but thats not a proper fix IMHO. If he has a problem and it's under warranty then I stick by my advice. Ring the official agent. Don't give them the slightest excuse to turn down a claim!
And I agree....
I have never seen a Guzzi completely come to a halt! They are tough old things.
