Well damn, and I alway thought it was because the vibration was so great that they simply didnt know the difference between a nod and the 'blurr' that's normal!

i give a nod for sure....when i first started i used to nod my head at people and would always get a nod in return have never waved tho think thats a bit "look at me! im riding a bike to!" but the nod is a nice way of saying hey to someone whos probly doing the same thing as me....just out for a cruise

I always try and give a wave, salute fellow 2 wheeled travellers. Nodding is a little difficult to observe when you're getting buffeted around by the wind at 100kph so seems a little pointless.

Waving enthusiasticaly at groups of patched up gang members is always fun, placing bets in your head if any of them will chase you down and give you the bash

Wave or a nod to all riders except big gangs of scary looking bikers...

Most hog riders in small groups are just lawyers and accountants acting staunch so they dont wave back, But we know they want to!

Harley riders that get blown away by a little GS Dakar two up with knobblies in a howling gale and heavy rain probably wave at me with one finger!

90% of the time i will wave..sometimes not so much. i get shitty when i wave at someone and they don't wave back though hahaha!
whats the deal with scooter riders? i always thought they kinda counted but then alot of them end up in cages anyway..

I wave or nod to most other bikes.........even cruiser types although most don't seem to do anything back. I saw someone earlier in thread suggesting it might be an Auk thing to not wave.

they might be right there from my observations.

and even cranked over round a corner you should be able to manage a quick nod of acknowledgement unless you are blind and useless.
