    Picking up a dropped bike...

It can happen to any of us.
Good to put your bike on the lawn at some stage and try and lift it back up.
This video will give you an idea on how to do it in case you didn't know.

Adrenaline is a big help. After binning the GSXR a while back I picked iy up with a broken collar bone and rode home. Didn't realise I'd broke till I removed my jacket and saw the bone poking up at a funny angle.

Very interesting thanx, I've done it twice, when the buggers fell over but never that way, I hope I don't have to do it ever again but if I do I'll sure give that method a try.
    Oh bugger

I got shown by a salesman how to pick up a big bike, he wanted the sale, I said no, because I was too little to pick it up. He layed it over and showed me how. Apparently it is a piece of cake. I managed to pick it up mind you. I guess adrenaline would be a great help too. Mind you I liked the lie down option best

I dropped my bike once. Lifted it back up one handed. But then it is a 250

I found it quite interesting the first time I saw it on the internet, along with a clip of this tiny woman putting a big scoot (a Burgman i think) up on it's centre stand. In both clips they made it look so easy but I'm inclined to think it still would take some practice - both situations.
I have lifted my GN on my own, not using the method shown; the bandit I haven't gone out of my way to find out whether I can do it or not! Think I'll wait for the day it goes down then look at my options (assuming I'm in one piece to lift the jolly thing up). Not really the sort of thing that you can practice just the sake of practicing is it? I'd probably do more damage to my bike trying to lie it down gently in order to do the lifting technique practice...
