It can happen to any of us.
Good to put your bike on the lawn at some stage and try and lift it back up.
This video will give you an idea on how to do it in case you didn't know.

Adrenaline is a big help. After binning the GSXR a while back I picked iy up with a broken collar bone and rode home. Didn't realise I'd broke till I removed my jacket and saw the bone poking up at a funny angle.
Superdukes. Serving up shame to sportsbikes since ages ago.
Very interesting thanx, I've done it twice, when the buggers fell over but never that way, I hope I don't have to do it ever again but if I do I'll sure give that method a try.![]()
Oh bugger
Seems so much easier to just lay down!
If ya wana learn how to pick it up quick? just do wot i did......thats drop it the bike while stationary at some lights[where people in cars r wotching].....& ill bet ya you'll never pickup a bike faster than that!
Muhaha![]()

WTB: Hyosung bikes or going or not.
I got shown by a salesman how to pick up a big bike, he wanted the sale, I said no, because I was too little to pick it up. He layed it over and showed me how. Apparently it is a piece of cake. I managed to pick it up mind you. I guess adrenaline would be a great help too. Mind you I liked the lie down option best![]()
I dropped my GSXR1100M (a real heavy gixxer) in a pub carpark as I was leaving. It cold stalled as I was U-turning
I picked it up without too much trouble mainly coz a few peeps were laughing and NOT helping....I didnt use the method in that vid clip, I guess I could have easily stuffed my back. The things ya do after a few ales![]()

But I think that's a load of shit. And I've had to pick up all sorts of bikes.
I dropped my bike once. Lifted it back up one handed. But then it is a 250![]()
Before email, Chuck Norris used to attach his messages to the necks of kittens and roundhouse kick them to their recipients
No offence intended but wtf next thing there will be a "how to light a fire video".Besides that there many bikes around that his way just wouldnt work, mines one of them.
I found it quite interesting the first time I saw it on the internet, along with a clip of this tiny woman putting a big scoot (a Burgman i think) up on it's centre stand. In both clips they made it look so easy but I'm inclined to think it still would take some practice - both situations.
I have lifted my GN on my own, not using the method shown; the bandit I haven't gone out of my way to find out whether I can do it or not! Think I'll wait for the day it goes down then look at my options(assuming I'm in one piece to lift the jolly thing up). Not really the sort of thing that you can practice just the sake of practicing is it? I'd probably do more damage to my bike trying to lie it down gently in order to do the lifting technique practice...
