True; a couple of months back I rode down 22 and caught a wasp in the neck. They always manage to get a sting in, don't they?

    3. Probably... flossy and I broke up over a lack of green pasture. She is bitter.

    Answers to yours:
    1. You had your chance, but now you will have to do it all again on the new & improved Toaster sled (if the missus will let you )

    2. Well some farmer you are, $5.00 sheep or a $20,000 bike, not to mention your sorry ass as well. The BBQ will have to be beef again this week

    3. She is supposed to be cooked & the beer bitter

Just a bit of an update:

Had to visit hospital twice today.... further liver problems arising with a sizable laceration showing up on the CT Scan. Not good when on blood thinners for blood clots! So this is something the medical people are working on to see how best to balance the fine line between preventing another blood clot but allowing the liver to heal without too much risk of further bleeding.

    Hmmmm.......

    Cheers mate.

I had a couple of good mates take time out from their families and busy jobs (one is a detective and the other an IT lawyer) to fly up from Wellington for a couple days just to help us around the house - they laid a drainage system that was half complete and cleaned out oak tree leaves from the guttering - tasks outside that I just couldn't do in my condition... so yes the beer fridge got happily raided but all I could do was watch as I can't drink any alcohol - not for a long time yet!

My good ladies parents have been awesome in helping us out on a daily basis too.

Ahh the dreaded SH22 livestock. I narrowly missed a cow that was loose on SH22 a couple of years back. My friend following me was not so lucky and hit the cow, wrote off his bike and broke his collar bone.

    Heal well Toaster.

    All the best.
In space, no one can smell your fart.

Bad luck there ol' fella, I almost had the same 'experience' with a sheep last summer.

Get well and take it easy - and old people heal slower too

Far out I totally missed this! Sorry to hear about your livestock encounter....never liked sheep myself - they have creepy eyes!

Hope you heal up soon so that you can keep up with and chase that gorgeous boy of yours around.

    Thanks!

Yeah things are not going so well..... although the blood clots and liver issues are being managed and the broken bones etc are healing fine, the major issue now arising is the impact of the head injury and my loss of memory and concentration/exhaustion.

I am facing some assessments on this and unfortunately work has to put someone in my role to manage the mounting workload and is now having to prepare for the likely possibility that I may not be able to perform my role to the extent I was able/expected to due to the complex and high pressured nature of the work, which may mean leaving my role and possibly my employment.

This is not good news at all.....
