    Doing the runner

Now im new to KB and dont know if this has come up b4 but....in the interest of public safty how fast do you have to go b4 the coppers call it off??? i usaly take off at full noise till i cant see them anymore, but that can reach speeds well over 250k. seems a tad dangerous, to the coppers on here do you have a set limmit that you cant exceed?

now i know people will go nuts about this thread, and so if i gave 2f$#ks about public safty i would stop, but realy i dont care, but its the coppers job to protect public safty so if the chase is reaching crazy speeds they must pull out??? i heard of a guy the other day had coppers chasing him down the highway at 220k's how safe is a car at that speed???? i know cars cant even closly keep up with a bike at speed around twisties, so should the coppers even try? in some parts of the world they have realised this and now have zero pusuit of bikes, but use choppers etc to catch them. perhaps its time NZ did the same??

Also whats the penalty for failing to stop??

Is that a gun pointing at your head in your avatar? Just pull the trigger, that will fix your problem.

Go as fast as you can as early as possible - and if there's heaps of traffic, then thats to your advantage as well.. I've only run once or twice - if I hadn't it woulda been jail

No bike can outrun a radio. They all get whats coming to them eventually. Its better if they just vaporise themselves though, then we get the pleasure of shovelling their guts into a plastic bag and taking it home to their mummy's.

Time waits for no man, But physics is patient eh??
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

The person doing the runner isn't the only one who has high levels of adrenaline pumping through his/her veins. The cop will be just as much commited to catch you as you will be to get away.

One of the main role of a cop is to be an authority figure. When someone disobeys the law and runs from it, you will make the cop like this =>

Most cops follow the rules, and they will do their job by stopping the chase in the name of public safety once the speeds exceed a given speed over a certain period of time (I don't have the figures).

However some cops don't really follow the rules by the book 100%. I have heard that at times, when they have been told to discontinue a pursuit, all they do is switch of the lights and siren and continue the chase. It'll be a cat and mouse thing after that, until they catch you or you crash and die or you get away. If you happen to kill your self or someone else, the cops can always say, "they already gave up prior to you crashing" (unless witnesses can prove otherwise).

Don't know about Church, but I know that there have been instances where a chopper has been called out for a bike pursuit here in AKL.

I've seen too many innocent people killed because of arseholes like you. The sad thing is, the ones who recklessly endanger other peoples lives usually come away relatively uninjured. I don't know how they can live with themselves afterwards. Do you know how soul destroying it is to look at the body of a baby that was killed in a car crash cos some fuckwit got a kick out of being a complete and utter tosser? Fucking grow up!

There has been so much shit like this on this site in the last few days. I really, really need the entertainment. Spud's replies are becoming increasingly pithy, and, well, funny!

Keep 'em coming you trolls. You guys are hilarious.

    Nicely put Spud.!

    Now to r1:

1 - Get off the bike. Give it to someone who appreciates bikes and life and community and isn't a f***in' dickhead

2 - In the interests of answering your question, I believe police policy is to stop a pursuit once the police get to 180Kmh... Spud?

3 - Please don't come on any rides with me. There's fun and stuff, but you and people like you are exactly why bikers have a bad reputation. I don't need it, bikers in general don't need it, and there are track days for doing what you do. Get out on a track, man

4 - You are probably a decent human being. Please - get out on a track before you kill yourself and someone else. Take it where it's safe.

Man... If you are doing something silly and and a cop sees you, be honest about it and pull over. If you didn't see the cop while you were doing the thing then you are a sad fecker, a dangerous one who hasn't got their eyes open and deserves to be pulled over.

I've done some stupid things, I'm sure most of us have, when you get pulled over just say that you were being a cock, cops are people too and have cocky moments themselves, they generally tell you to put your cock away and take it easy.

Ta, Sedge ( Not usually a sad fecker but often a cock )

Quite right, anointed one. See thread re Capital punishment.Road murder is in the same vein as any other heinous crime. We all appreciate the suberb job you AO's do out there, as most of us wouldn't have a bar of it. But R1Aaron isn't the fuckwit he appears to be. I've already exposed his little game of wind-up by revealing he rides a NiftyFifty :love2:

    Yo...

Seriously Aaron man. What would be the point? It isn't about whether you're fast. Anybody in Production Superbikes could kick your ass any time, any place.

But (and i might be wrong) i bet none of those boys have ever thought in the way you do, or really ever posed a serious threat to other road users.

So what's it about? Adrenaline? If that's it, then it comes down to the fact that you need to find a way to get your buzz without risking anybody else. Seriously. I know one of your mates got cleaned up by a vehicle recently. So why do you still seem so bulletproof? And how are you gonna feel if you take somebody out with you (assuming you don't end up meat)?

I enjoy the odd 9/10ths riding session. But as has been said here oft enough, it's time and place. And i'd pull the pin asap if i thought i was hanging out more than just my own life to dry...
