not very fast.... I prefer corners and trying to go around them quick....and pie-cock has a 100k limit.... trying the corners at that would be interesting!
dont know what the Duc top speed is.... goin fast in a straight line was something I used to spend money on in (semi) drag cars in my early 20s
I did a hundred and SomethingAboveFif.... about 6500rpm, the other day (yesterday) in a passing lane on a road divided by a big concrete wall.... then I saw a cop car on the otherside and backed off to 110.... I think the boy-racer behind me was more shocked with the cop, coz I had a feeling he was there somewhere... had been all day
probably the first time i've ridden over 120 in over a month.... Its only a short trip to the twisties from my house (10k) so fast speeds aren't really needed.
    hence, the 600 and not a 900.
also, with the shitty SH1, one-lane-road-with-people-doing-70k-on-it around these parts, makes it hard to go ballistic even if I wanted to.

[edit] the guy switched the light off coz he was doing a runner... it was just getting dark and he'd had a beer or 6... bike wasn't stolen tho

Oy! Let's have a bit of capitalisation around here. You're lucky I'm not a moderator or otherwise nobody would be able to get to use smilies until they had first passed a spelling and punctuation test!

As an ex and possibly reformed cop maybe I can shed a little light, firstly most cops live for chases or any adrenalin buzz whether they like to admit it or not that is why they joined up in the first place. I have in the past caught some very quick bikes in a patrol car and as soon as they turned onto a back road I was pretty sure I was going to catch them unless they were extremly good. A car can corner very fast full lock, sledging around corners and it takes big balls to out ride a well trained cop.

The call for calling off the pursuit is made on the info given to ops by cop in pursuit, how hyped up he is, traffic cond, speeds etc all play a part. If the cop remains calm and gives limited info who says it isnt safe? Only if it all turns to custard does he end up in the crap.

If he can prove you knew you were being chased then that is Reckless driving and hello jail, Mr popularity

Personally I had the attitude that if a guy could outrun me and the radio then he deseved to get away but mine was a minority view.

Rather than out run I believe you would be better to out smart!

Apart from all this the chances of making sound choices at 220 plus for more than a few minutes on any road and not killing some one is very slim. Lastly remember when in court a Judge will ALWAYS believe the cops story unless you have some VERY VERY good evidence to the contrary.
