    Hahaha.

Oh well, there'll be some GS riders, so I'll continue to feel slightly superior in my inimitable Honda way.

Excellent, and well done for pulling this together. Really looking foward to seeing a group of 70s and 80s bikes together.

    Thumbs up ride details update

ok peps, i'll post the datails of the meet in the FIRST POST in this thread so keep an eye for the updates

i have yet to figure if it's possible to send a pm to everyone at once, so if you know how to do that, explain it to me, i wasnt able to find any instructions on that
huh, scratch that, i think i just figured it out... somebody didnt get my pm?

the ride is tentatively named Blast to the Past Ride (BTPR), let me know if you can think of something more original ( i couldnt )

if you have ANY suggestions / comments with regards to this meet, please let me know

Bruno is getting a lil facelift at the moment and should be road worthy in a day or two well, unless i stuff something up

WHEN: Saturday, 28th June '08 (in case of a really bad weather, alternative date: Sat, 5th July '08)

    TIME: 11am (it's winter...)

WHERE: to be anounced (most likely west or north akl, still looking into it)

ROUTE: to be anounced (most likely the backroads of the west/north akl)

DURATION: to be anounced (i'm thinking 2-3 hrs should be good for a first meet)

WEATHER: In case of heavy rain forecast the ride will be postponed for a week. I'll post the details of any change here a couple of hours before the ride so everyone is up-dated.

if you have a bike from the mid-'70s to mid-'80s we'd like to hear from you

the idea is to have an occassional get-together of the bikes from the era and go for a ride, etc

if this is not you but you know someone who might be interested please help us get in touch

if you know of something like this already going on in auckland please let us know

    cheers

Thanks Croc... she's not quite as clean any more but she's still seriously tidy and low milage for her age... And she's my daily ride

Ivor... Definately keen if baby hasn't arrived... Will even see if I can sneak away if it has

so, has everyone been tiding up and tuning their rides yet ?

i have moved the ride details to a thread in the "meetings & events" forum

    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...11#post1608211

it's also in the calendar now so you can register your attendance (which i would appreciate) and request an event reminder

That's the day of my last exam -- starts at 9am, three hours

Hopefully bike has had panel-beating done by then anyway.
