    Rimutaka Summit Cafe

For those who haven't been into the summit cafe in a while I suggest you do. The new dudes have fitted it out with demo bikes, xbox360 plugged into a 42" plasma tv-that usually has Rammstein playing on it. A xbox plugged into a CRT tv. Drum kit and above all an espresso machine. They're a good bunch in there and we should support them by frequenting the place often. Not a place to bring grandma though.

Their web page is www.disturbed.co.nz where you can buy gnarly t-shirts and even email them photos of your bike etc.

    See you in there

So it's not a dead duck....?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

No sireebob. In fact yesterday they installed a $12,000 generator to supply regular power to the place. Its an alive eagle one could say.

Jeez, I hope they have a guard dog the size of Godzilla, or some low-life is going to help themselves to those toys..

The lease is still scheduled to expire in December. One wonders what the leaseholder told these new tenants about the terms and conditions.

I'm sure the lease holder has something to do with all the improvements. That's the impression I got when up there yesterday with Jimbo and Deano. I could be wrong though. It would however be a bit silly to do all that without finding out how long you can be there for!!

As Jimbo said it'd be good if we can all support them as it gives us all a better place to stop. Commercial coffee machine goes in soon too

Hope you all have a fanTAZtic weekend.

The leaseholder has nothing to do with the improvements. They're all being done by the current tenants.

Oh well I'll take that as I got the wrong impression when I was up there then!! Like I said though you'd be very stupid to do all that with the risk of loosing it all at the end of the year

It'll still be a good place to go till then, allot better than the old place.

Sounds like a serious investment to the cafe. Must have been some lotto winners wondering what to do with the winnings.

However, once I get my oil-leak free Guzzi back, I shall visit for sure

Don't they all do that? Ya know, in place of oil filters you are just always topping them up?
