    RG150 tyres

Hi guys, first post and all..
The rear tyre on my rg is shagged, so I need a new one for the warrant and I want a new front one.
    Any recomendations?
    Preferably not *too* expensive.

    Thanks

EDIT: sports-touring type, reasonably high milage, would be best.

if you want mileage you're stuck in the sub $100 category, I'm using a V-rubber on the rear at the mo', sticky(ish) when cold to warm, but once they get hot they start to slide around a bit, also doesn't like using the outside 2cm of tread (gets a bit skittish) infinitely better than IRC (standard issue) infinitely worse than a proper sticky race type tyre ($200+)

Hey mate, check out a Pirelli MT75, though should suit you well possibly a Bridgestone BT45, but i hated that, it would spin up very easily....

Best tyres to get are Dunlop TT900's but your looking at about $240

Yup, go with the Pirelli MT75, they're cheap, last well and handle nicely. I got about 7,000km out of my last MT75 rear on the FXR. They're not a race tyre, of course, but they're what you're asking for. I think I paid $260 for my last pair of MT75s.

The guys at Leading Edge in Barry's Point Rd should be able to sort you out with tyres and fitting.

    What a bloody fiasco.
Attitude motorcycles say they can get my BT45's, then I go in to get them fitted and find out they couldn't get them in the right size (apparently), so they offer to give me a pirelli dragon that they had in the shop for $150. Turns out that a 120/60 won't fit, so they took that one back off, then rang another shop and got in some IRC thing. They fit that, and try to send me away, but I noticed it was a front (they were trying to fit it on the back). So screw them, I went to Rogers Yamaha, and got them to order some pirelli MT75's. Only problem is, they won't be here till around new years day, so I have to ride to Alexandra on my old, worn out, dry rotted IRC's.

What size do you guys have? 90/80 and 110/80?

90/80 on the front and 100/90 (i think) on the back....

the sizes when they are this small are relative to the profile, I have some race slicks that are like a 120 on the rear but a very sharp profile so turn VERY quickly (fuckin scary) and the dunlop TT's are a 100 but very shallow profile so you swing off the bike to get around corners (very fun).

Fucking Invercargill. These guys are certain they can't get mt75's to fit my bike. Maybe I should just get them shipped from somewhere else, any suggestions on where to get them?

Send Dan at Coleman's Suzuki a e-mail... tell him your story... and them tell him Two Smoker said you (Dan) could get some in... Then work out payment and shipping etc...
