2008 Wellington MX champs video

My better half is a videographer, you know, weddings and that type of shit...

Anyway, when she wasn't looking I absconded with her canon XL-1 dv camera and headed of to the Welly's mx champs at Motuiti, Foxton in July to see if I could catch some action.

Ran around the track like a mad bugger, and ended up with 3 hours worth of footage.Over the past few months have Edited it down to 50 minutes of highlights, including the prizegiving. Put it to some music (Kyuss, STP and nine inch nails) and added subtitles / starting lineups.Ended up with a semi proffessional dvd. A couple of mates have seen the whole thing (just finished it) and reckon it came out sweet.

I must say, that track (Motuiti, Foxton) is one of the best (if not THE best) sand track in NZ. It was an awesome day, perfect weather and.

Just a heads up to anyone who rode there or knows someone who did. They probably are on the video somewhere. Got the minis, juniors, seniors (MX1,MX2,Vet's and support) plus the prizegiving ...

The track has to be seen to be believed ... you north of the bombay types dont know what your missing out on down here ....

The track is built for maximum rideability and fun. Some pretty serious air goes down all over it too...

Yeah mate, theres some awesome riding to be had round these parts ... you name it .. mud, pines, rocks, sand, clay, loam, fire roads, river crossings, beach runs, climbs, drops.

At least 120km+ of all the above 5 minutes from where I live.
