Seems like I am forever meant to not make this ride eh?....while my well beaten DR should be home by then, its once again gettn round to calvn time down on the farm, and besides, tentn in NZ at this time of year don't 'do' it for this 'softy'!!!

There is always backpackers in Taupo for anyone needing a room, cheap and comfy, wont take to long to ride out to the meeting point in the am

I can do about 350k on a tank, the orange "oh hell" light will be on for too long before i start walking.

Hi John, I plan on leaving PPram around midday (got to do oil change Fri morning) also but will be staying in Hastings Friday night (business appointment!!!) and meeting Clint and the crew at the northern end of Pohokura Road on SH5 at about 9:15 am sat morning. If you are keen to ride as far as Palmy/Sanson in convoy all good.
As for Sunday night, not sure where I will end up but I will be riding back to Wellie on Monday so we could hook-up for the journey home?
