When I take the bike.......
206km round trip - 103k each way, with 76k open, tree and bush lined "highway" and 27k of 60k limit with traffic - medium heavy for about 20k from work.
Sad to say - it's cheaper to take the train.

Used to do 100k a day traveling from Motueka over to Polytech in Nelson.& it used to take LONGER to get from the Waimea Rd roundabout to Tech.. (about 10k) than it took to get from Motueka TO the roundabout (about 40k!!)!!
