    Well I f#cked up...

Ok so i've had a bit of a bad day today..
first lot of stuff is irrelevant, but this afternoon on the way home from school i had a bit of an accident. Completely my fault, came up to a corner noticed the speed bump, decided that i was going to fast (60kmph) to go over it at the angle i was on. Braked quite hard and went off onto the grass on the side of the road intending to roll off the rest of the speed.... then noticed the big fucking ditch across the grass. braked again (too hard) and ended up on my side.

damage to bike, the left mirror now spins around, the handle bar is slightly bent.
If there is anyone around Gulf Harbour / Hibiscus Coast that could come and have a look at it for me i'd be forever greatfull.

damage to me, score ankle, graze on leg. Hurt ego lol

lesson learnt, looks like its the bus for me tomorrow.

    I'm not too far away.

I take it that your Dad is in no way mechanical?
Is it rideable over here? I'm in Glenfield. Plenty of tools.

Better to learn the lesson at 60km on grass rather than 100km on hard ol' tarmac!

Glad you're ok, hope you and the bike are fixed up soon and back into it!

its ridable, just doesnt feel right, the bend is very minor, but noticeable, makes it feel weird
i got my dad to call i bike shop and they said if the handle bars are bent then usually there'll be more problems.
and i might have to take you up on that offer.

and Katman i take different routes pretty much everyday, exploring. And this particular one i'd only been once before. and i already admitted it was my fault.

WTF!! Oh its so nice to see blame vented on a young rider before concern is even expressed!! Jeepers man get a life!

Glad your OK Reido. You can just bend the bars without more damage! If its your first fall its not to bad and you'll have learnt a lot from it. Hopefully some North shore KB member will be a little less callous than Katman and help you out.
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

Good to here you are okay, and don't worry to much we all have had our spills.

What bike shop did you talk to, call in to Spectrum, tehy are pretty good and honest guys who will look after young riders.
