Advice on trying to get an exemption

Hey guys as title states im lookin for a bit of advice on how i would be able to get an exemption for a bigger bike.

i have only just got my learners. the bike i learnt on is now gone so im hoping i will be able to purchase something a bit bigger as im quite big myself. im 19 going on 20, 6 foot 5", 110kgs so as u can tell im not ur average size lol ive done quite a bit of off roading and ive got my license to ride in my homeland of the cook islands haha

just wondering if you guys have some advice on how i should go about trying to get an exemption for something like a 600cc to a 750cc. hopefully im not dreaming here 250cc's are just too small, dont feel safe and my legs alwayz cramp up wen i go for a long ride

any advice will be much appreciated.

    thanks

    Dez

Only just got your Learners, but you already have an SV Thou and an RF400?

Try the 'Search' feature. Tanks thread was awesome.

Dez, Just tell them exactly what you have told us, but add a few details about how long you have had your learners, and anything else you can think of.

They will happily give you an exemption for a 400-650cc bike, provided its not some superbike thing. I don't think you will get an exemption for a 750.

I spent a month on my learners, and then got an exemption for a 650 vtwin.

    that covers it off.

Regarding the 750 - I dont see why not - I got dispensation for a 800 and Id only had my learners for a couple of months max.

Honestly, i'm not far off your size. I'm 6'3", and fatter.

I managed the Hyosung just fine. You will be able to get an exemption fairly easily, just make sure it's the right decision before jumping on an R6 or summat.

Write in, tell them ya story, tell them why you think its dangerous for you to be on a 250, and convince them you will be safer on a bigger bike and you will be fine. I wouldnt try a 600 sports bike tho, maybe a 650vtwin would be fine, or a 400cc inline four or something, but most of them are no bigger than 250's anyway... tehehehe.

As I heard, SV or a ER6 could be a possibility

    Good luck
