    Nope, no such thing.

Here's your reference on the relevant legalities.

If you want a marriage dissolved in NZ, the only way is to live apart for two years.

You can always both agree to lie about it, of course, but that still puts a minimum time limit of two years on how long you have to stay married after the wedding.

It's all pretty straightforward, and if anyone is dumb enough to get married without figuring that stuff out first, tough.

But this isn't exactly an unfamiliar topic. One or two of us have had cause to get divorced now and then, y'know.

Have you tried counselling? Sounds like the "honeymoon phase" is over and you're into the hard yards of living with another person.

I think you are onto something there.
What tipped you off, was it the talk of divorce or killing her?

Ahhhh yeah, i didn't know what happiness was till i got married !!
But then it was too late !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

go to Las Vegas, you can get divorced straight after you marry no questions.......and re-marry straight after that if your stoopid!

You still need a divorce before you get an anulment - don't go contributing money to the fkn catholic church for an anulment - my father got an anulment after 30 years of marriage and 5 kids - pay enuf money you can buy anything in the catholic church

You can apply to have the marriage annulled imediately if, and only if, the marriage was not a legal union in the first place. ie, one or both of you lied on the statuary declaration and you (or her) were already married, or you are close blood relatives, etc. The Family Proceedings Act 1980.

If you take that path, then prepare for one of you to be prosecuted for a false declaration.

    Yup, I did it!!

Just had to sign a form XXXX that said I wasn't already married to another.

    Simple eh?

US $35 later I was remarried at 5pm.
