Thirsty, but amazing bang for your buck, comfy two up, id choose a 'storm, even thoug (as much as it pains me to say it) the SVthou is a better bike (cummon Honda get with the injected times already!)

I see I made a cock-up in a previous post but I will ignore it if you will.(red face stuff )

IMHO the brand new Suzuki V-Strom (1,000) with all the gear would still have to be one of the best bang for bucks bike deals around.

The 650cc V-Strom gives really good fuel economy figures (Well so I have read) but it's still a 650cc for two up work.

You can go anywhere on almost any bike if you have a will to, so many choices, so little time!

Don't waste time thinkin about it, just do it! Cheers John.

GSX-R750... if a mid size gixxer can keep a middle aged biker like myself happy, it will work for anyone. Best bike I've ever owned

    I voted dualsport and
sv1000/cb900 both are amazing bang for your bucks
plenty of power to get ya in trouble with the HP.

on the Dualsports i'd go for the above mention Vstrom
or Buell Uly and Ducati Multistrada.

my vote go's for the Uly

Unfortunately, I'm growing old too and one of the reasons for this thread is moving away from the full blown sports bikes! I've done [...ahem...] kph once, and don't think I'll be repeating that, so streety-sport or dp machine would be the next choices.

Yeah, I looked at the Vstroms, and to me, everyone has their own taste and are entitled to their own lifestyle choice, so I'm not saying it's for everyone... but it's U.G.L.Y you ain't got no alibi, u UGLY!

plus... brand new vstrom1000 for under $8k? I don't think so...
