    Raglan and Back

Well it was the second time ever down that wonderful road (22) We headed down at about 10.00. Just out fo Puke one of use decided he was going to start a bird collection, he picked a small sparrow to began the collection, and luckly managed to snag him in the front headlight. Things I love about 22, low traffic volume, . 2nd thing I love is its corner after corner after corner, ooooooohhhhhhh.
I have to admit one of our party got a little carried away on one corner and missed it. Luckily he discovered a off shoot of gravel, where he managed to pull his steed up in time before becoming better aquainted with the scrub. The weather was fine pretty much the whole way, did come across a little dampness on the road, but never got rained on. We turned off and headed down to Raglan, (yes we braved the dirt road, but wait theres more, one of us was on a Ducati, I can hear the screams from the Ducati fans at the thought of one of there own on gravel. Its ok the bike made it and nothing fell off the bright yellow Italian beast) Raglan was BUSY, did I mention BUSY. So we took a quick break and headed back up. I swear people with Ducatis pay s small group of people to follow them around and squeal, point and make oooogling sounds. We are going to paint one the the other bikes bright yellow and stick a Ducati sticker on it to see what responce we get. Upon our return trip two things I took note of, WATCH for suicidal Pheasant, and 22 does have some large bumps in the road. I just about have got rid of me chicken strips. Which for my nana riding is a big deal. All in all a good days ride.

You saw him(her?) too huh? Did you meet the suicidal goats as well?

Nah its not really that bad... What was the final suicidal bird tally? On the Waikato Ride my tally was three. I think maybe living in the Waikato gets them down a bit....

Only managed to collect 1x bird, but if I hadnt of ducked Im sure I would of had the claim to the largest bug splatter on the Visor, plus the only claim that I could then cook my splatter for a tasty meal. We did come across the Suicidal dog, sheep, bird and motorists.
