I used to think that dickheads were a fictitious sub-species of humankind.

I once believed that countersteering was an obvious phenomenum explainable by known physical laws.

I once thought that logic and sound science could erode prejudice and ignorance.

Yes, I read a whole bunch of race reports and gave it a go. Will race again when my bike is back in one piece, hopefully. Have met a lot of people, done trackdays and been on rides I never would have done if I hadn't read about them here.

Thank you. That's something I've changed my mind about as well, thanks to Kiwi Biker.

yeah, same for me. I owe a lot to KB for this.

I have had my faith in people renewed somewhat - also a result of meeting people from KB. I have worked with the public too long I think, and I was feeling pretty burned, so I owe KB for this also.

Yep, I trust what I read here. I don't jump off cliffs when told to though.

Yep, that owning two stroker smokers s'kewl and not the un-PC non-green, fossil burning relic they be (oh alright, I don't care!)

And that there are heaps of useful gits out there that have forgotten more about biking and bikes then I have learnt so far ...

That Scotsmen really do speak like scotsmen ...

and that lots of people like hawt chicky babes in uniforms like me!

Also, I realised that I am out on a limb on the furtherest tree away from the loneliest forest in a forgotten place when it comes to my attitude to riding ... and riding ... and riding ... and collecting mayhemacycles!

not surprising there are alot of well formed ideas that have been spurred by kiwibiker.
What I was getting at was an example of I always thought that this was the best way to do something but then got into a debate on kiwibiker and someone convinced me to try something else and now I realise I was wrong and there is a better way.

I have a theory that no one ever really changes their mind. Sure you can learn new things and meet great people but once an opinion is formed it is a very rare thing that that opinion gets changed.

Sure, I have learnt a lot here:
That I can see more guys posting their girlfriends tits at www.labusas.org and learn more about handguns there,
Some people don't need clutches to shift (someone did it for three whole weeks),
There is a guy that I think seriously is trying to improve the image of motorcycle riders,
That said guy thinks it will happen here,
People really think waving at other riders is important, or at least some asshole concocts a thread about it all the time,
That other posters still respond to "waving at other rider" threads no matter how often its posted again and again,
Some people really think countersteering has a basis in physics other than just common sense and fear,
That they can explain the physics, not the common sense, of countersteering,
Not everyone carries an extra large condom when riding.
Other than that, I am still learning.
    Ride, eat, sleep, repeat!
